Stefanos Tsitsipas will take to the courts in Mallorca as the Greek looks to prepare for the third Grand Slam of the season.
Coming off the back of two disappointing results in both Stuttgart and Halle, Tsitsipas will be hoping to showcase a better version of himself that we all know he is capable of in Mallorca.
Despite not being famed for his results on the green of SW19, it is still an important time of the year for the Greek, who always seems to enjoy his time in south-west London.
Therefore, good preparation is the key, which is why he will want to spend as much time as possible on the grass of Mallorca.
Heading into the tournament, he was keen to stress how he is not interested in particular results at this point in time, with him paying more attention to enjoying himself out on the court and playing for the feeling.
“Having the opportunity to play in a tournament like this and having such a familiar feeling, being by the beach with my loved ones, enjoying life, can sometimes be difficult when you’re away from home. I was surprised about the colour of the courts. It’s a grass court with a much more intense green and it creates more contrast with the ball, I really like that!”
“I’m trying to enjoy tennis from a perspective that I hadn’t done previously. Expectations aren’t so high, to be honest. I’m enjoying my life, and creating amazing memories is the most important thing at the moment.”
“I’m not focussed on any result, which is great. I’ve played in a lot of tournaments recently and I did very well in most, but really I want to enjoy myself and feel that I deserve some fun.”
