'If Tennis Didn't Work Out I Would Model': Fritz Opens Up About Love For Fashion

Taylor Fritz is a very good tennis player, but he would have pursued a modeling career if it hadn't worked out.

Fritz made his runway debut this year and it's actually something he enjoys. The American joked that he would be teased about it but it's been a nice experience because he actually thought about it at one point in his life.

As a teenager, Fritz was fully dedicated to tennis, but if it hadn't worked out, he would have totally pursued modeling because of his interest in fashion, which has grown exponentially over the years.

Being a tennis player certainly opened up opportunities for him, and he's looking to build a brand in the future.

Over the past few years, I have been a lot more into fashion. It’s something that I definitely want to do more of to build my brand. I remember saying to one of my friends when we were 15 or 16 that if tennis didn’t work out I would model, and obviously tennis has opened the door to do a lot of things.

Fritz on fashion and modeling

As a pretty tall individual, the American certainly fits the look of a male model, so having options and offers isn't a huge surprise. We've actually seen this trend in recent years where non-models, most notably celebrities, become part-time models for big fashion brands.

When it comes to Fritz, he even cared more about fashion than tennis per se because he didn't even watch it that much. He just became really good at it and decided to pursue it as a career.

I didn’t really care which sport, though. I didn’t even watch a ton of tennis growing up, but it was the sport I became best at.

It certainly wasn't a bad choice considering how things evolved since then.
