Taylor Fritz was one of the players who was followed this year by Netflix crews as they were filming for the show on the sport.
The program is intended to provide viewers a better look at tennis' inner workings and how it appears behind the scenes, much like Drive to Survive did for Formula One. Tennis fans never experience it, and as Formula One showed, sports fans of all levels, from diehards to casuals, find it fascinating.
One of the players being taking part was Fritz, and his girlfriend Morgan Riddle was also involved. She is an influencer who makes use of her platform to promote tennis, something that many analysts have complimented. She answered a fan's question about the program as follows:
"Very [excited about the Netflix special]! I hope it does for the sport what it did for F1."
Drive to Survive proved a huge success for Netflix and Formula One sparking interest in the sport and increasing metrics.
