'Energy Flows Where Attention Goes': Djokovic's Motto That Led Him To Roland Garros Win

Novak Djokovic is a very good tennis player but he's also much more than that as his interest extends far beyond a tennis court.

Djokovic is not your typical guy. Besides being an incredible player, the Serbian is also one that never stops being curious. He's been called adjectives more than once for his pursuit of unconventional methods, some of which have been detailed in his book many years ago.

Djokovic broke the hearts of many Serbian bees when he opted for a specific type of honey from New Zealand. He also does all kinds of other things including visiting places with specific electromagnetic fields.

All of that seems to be working because he recently lifted the 23rd grand slam trophy of his career, becoming the first player on the ATP Tour to do so. If doesn't convince you to try out some Manuka honey then maybe the fact that he became the first man to win all grand slams three times will.

If you're still not convinced then maybe these fancy numbers and stats will. All jokes aside Djokovic is a tremendous player and Tennis Channel's Steve Weissman talked to him following his Roland Garros triumph. He talked about it on the Rich Eisen shown.

When I talked to Novak Djokovic, the man is so inspiring. On the court, after he won the match, he said, ‘I wanna give good values to my children. I wanna be able to inspire the next generation.’ He said, ‘Believe it, create it, achieve it.

There is no reason to doubt the man and that does indeed sound like Novak Djokovic. Weissman proceeded to ask him whether he learned anything in the past two weeks and despite doing this over 20 times now, Djokovic still reacted positively.

Then, when I asked him what he had learned about himself over the past two weeks, I said, ‘Listen, what you said on court was magical. What did you learn about yourself?’ He said, ‘Energy flows where attention goes.’ And I'm like, mind-blown.
