Carlos Alcaraz defeated Sebastian Korda to book the Cinch Championships final becoming the 6th youngest to do so.

Alcaraz arrived in London without his coach and not many expected him to do well. He expressed some reservations about his level on the surface leading up to it but good performances changed his outlook about the grass season midway through.

Now, he's in the final after beating Korda in two sets. The American was playing superb tennis for the whole event but it didn't matter as Alcaraz was able to get it done in two sets to book the final. By doing that he's become the 6th youngest to play in the Queen's Club final.

The youngest ever was Boris Becker who contested the final back in 1985 when he was 17. The second-youngest ever was Lleyton Hewitt who was 19 when he contested the Queen's Club final in 2000. John McEnroe was also 19 when he contested the final back in 1978 but he was a month older than Hewitt when he did it.

Boris Becker makes the list again at number four with 19 years and six months. That final was played in 1987. Jimmy Connors was the 5th youngest in 1972 when he contested the final at 19 years and 9 months. Carlos Alcaraz now became the 6th youngest finalist ever at 20 years and 1 month in 2023.

It's the first final for Alcaraz on grass and he could join the company of players that have won trophies on all three major surfaces. If he wins he could also become one of the youngest ever to do so.

After all, he became the youngest number one on the ATP Tour last year when he won the US Open. Breaking records is something that will follow him throughout his career as he's just getting started.
