2024 Barcelona Open ATP Draw With Nadal, Alcaraz, Tsitsipas & More

| by Erik Virostko

The draw for the 2024 Barcelona Open was released and it promises a lot of exciting matches at the ATP 500 tournament.

The Barcelona Open is one of the most prestigious ATP 500 clay-court tournaments, and one man has dominated the tournament in Barcelona over the years - Rafael Nadal.

However, the Spaniard was forced to miss the event in the past two seasons, but with his comeback in 2024, things are looking promising. Nadal withdrew from the Monte-Carlo Masters, but it seems that he will be ready to compete in Barcelona.

He will be unseeded, and as a result, he'll have to play in the first round, taking on young Italian talent, Flavio Cobolli, who will be a proper test for the 12-time champion of the event.

If he wins, in the second round, Nadal will meet the fourth seed of the event, Alex de Minaur, who has been in a good form this year, and will certainly want the scalp.

However, the top seed will be the two-time defending champion, Carlos Alcaraz, who also had some recent injury struggles. The two-time Grand Slam champion withdrew from the Monte-Carlo Masters, but the reports suggest he should be ready to compete in Barcelona.

As one of the seeded players, he has a first-round bye, and in the second round, he'll start against the winner of the match between Zhizhen Zhang and Luca van Assche.

Stefanos Tsitsipas will be the fifth seed at the event, and he will try to translate his form from courts in Monte Carlo to Barcelona, starting against either Sebastian Ofner or Pavel Kotov.

The second seed at the tournament is Andrey Rublev, who lost three consecutive matches in straight sets, and he will want to find his form again against Brandon Nakashima or Daniel Evans.

Casper Ruud, who is a known clay-court specialist, will also play in Barcelona, and as the third seed, he will start against Albert Ramos or Alexandre Muller in the second round.
