'You're Wearing Confetti, Carlos Looks Better': Gauff On Tiafoe's Outfit Choice At US Open

Coco Gauff teased Frances Tiafoe after her match at the 2023 US Open, joking that the American wears confetti as his match kit, finding other outfits better.
Unless it's Wimbledon, tennis fans are rather interested in what sort of match kits players will wear at events. Obviously, at Wimbledon, we have various styles of white but outside of Wimbledon, players do tend to be creative.
Tiafoe is not new to crazy outfits as he had a few of them in the past such as the one at this year's Australian Open. Gauff actually revealed after her match that he told her back in May that he was planning something outlandish for the US Open. It's a pretty crazy outfit, though Gauff isn't a fan.
Yeah, because Frances told me at French Open that he had something crazy planned for US Open. I was like, You're wearing confetti (laughter). I said Carlos looked better. He's going to hate this (smiling). Love you, Frances.
Shelton won his match against Tommy Paul while Tiafoe proved better than Rinky Hijikata, and while they were in the warm-up area, Gauff also came along. She revealed that she teased Tiafoe about his outfit, confirming that she prefers the one of Shelton.
After my match, Ben and Frances were in the cool-down area, or warm-up, I don't know, area, and it was really just cool to see us all there. Obviously the conversation, they already started the trash talk. I'm indifferent who wins, but I did say that Frances is a little bit upset because I said Ben had the better outfit than him.
Obviously, it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but it's good to see the US players in high spirits as the country hopes to hand the trophy to one of their own this year. Gauff is a good candidate but don't count anybody on the men's side either.
