Iga Swiatek had somewhat of an odd exchange with a reporter following her semi-final match at Roland Garros.

Swiatek had had a reputation in her career for getting overwhelmed at the moment. She famously cried multiple times on a tennis court, once while the match was going on. She worked a lot with a sports psychologist and made tremendous improvement in that regard becoming one of the coldest players on the WTA Tour in terms of focusing on her performance.

She's a three-time Grand Slam champion now and she'll contest her 4th final on Saturday. It comes after beating Beatriz Haddad Maia in straight sets. The match itself was a bit tricky for Swiatek and she was asked about looking more frustrated than general in the match. She first didn't understand what was being asked but then explained that it seemed the same as always.

Okay, for me it was pretty much the same. Obviously like it's not easy to play such a tight match. I can't really comment, because I felt, you know, the same as usual. I actually felt kind of more focused because I know that the crowd was loud and I tried to just kind of keep my focus inside. But, yeah.

Swiatek did face more issues against Beatriz Haddad Maia but for the most part, handled them well. The final itself will be a very tricky matchup due to some interesting stats regarding her opponent Muchova. The Czech player will contest her maiden Grand Slam final so experience is on the side of Swiatek, but Muchova will still be a tough player to face.

I still feel like I know Karolina's game anyway because I played many practices with her since 2019, and I also watch her actually more than most of the players. Just a coincidence, but it happened.  I really respect her, and she's I feel like a player who can do anything, you know.
