'So Much Room For Improvement': Gauff Backed For Further Success By Colleague Rogers

Coco Gauff just won her maiden Grand Slam trophy, but she's backed by many to win a few more in the coming years.

One of those who is predicting a very bright future for Gauff is fellow American and fellow player Shelby Rogers. She knows Gauff fairly well due to playing on the WTA Tour with her, but also because they come from the same country.

Rogers always believed Gauff had what it takes, though you didn't need to be a tennis pro to understand that. She had future superstar written all over her even as a teenager, and while she's technically still one, she's a far more advanced player by now. The maturation and growth have been awesome to see, according to Rogers.

Oh it's awesome and just to see how she's just grown and matured as a person as well off the court. Like not only her tennis game is just there's so much room for improvement there.

But her as a person is just really inspiring too because she really values being a great person and has great morals. And just, you know, she has a very charismatic personality and she seems to be handling everything really well.

Rogers has not been the only one who raved about Gauff following her impressive US Open triumph. Andy Roddick recently spoke about the significance of Gauff winning the US Open at this point of her career. Former player Rennae Stubbs also had plenty to say about Gauff, and it's just been nice to see the whole tennis community rally around the youngster.

She has a bright future ahead, but much of that will depend on how she handles this upcoming season. Many players struggled to follow up after winning their first Grand Slam, so it will be interesting to see whether that happens to Gauff.
