Coco Gauff's winning streak is over, but it's not bothering her as she's proud of what she achieved in the previous weeks.

Coco Gauff had an amazing time on home soil in the final weeks of summer. The American opened with a trophy at the Citi Open in Washington continuing her great run with a solid outing in Canada and the Cincinnati Open.

She won the latter one, which became her biggest trophy up until that point, but some two weeks later, she was lifting the US Open trophy. It was the fulfilment of a life-long dream for the teenager who also secured a spot at the WTA Finals, becoming the first teenager to qualify in back-to-back years in a long time.

The runs at those events created a winning streak, which ultimately ended at 16 wins. It was the best streak of her career, and while Iga Swiatek ended it at the China Open, Gauff was pretty proud of everything she achieved in previous weeks.

I'm really proud of myself. Hopefully next year I can continue this consistency, maybe not 16 in a row on a consistent level, but as long as I can string along some wins, 1000 title wins, and hopefully a Grand Slam would be a great goal for me.

Gauff will be in action next week, which will be the final event she's going to play before the WTA Finals. The event will take place in Cancun later this month and Gauff's only prep will be the these two events. She purposefully opted for that approach wanting a week free leading up to the event to get there early and get familiar with the conditions.

Gauff played at the WTA Finals last year but lost all of her matches which she doesn't want to do again.
