Raducanu Believes 'Results Will Take Care Of Themselves' If She Keeps Working Hard

Emma Raducanu is a hard worker, and she believes that hard work will translate into good on-court results on her comeback.

Nothing in life comes easy, and any kind of achievement generally requires a lot of work. Sure, some individuals are more talented in specific areas, making it a bit easier, but generally, mere mortals have to work hard to get where they want to be.

Raducanu knows that well. She's watched her parents work hard all her life, and she followed in their footsteps. Her hard work happened on the tennis courts, so she's one of the more prominent players today.

You don't get to this level by chance, and after all, she's a Grand Slam champion too. Last year wasn't very good in tennis terms as she underwent triple surgery to address some injury issues.

The comeback began recently Down Under, and it was, for the most part, predictable. There were some good moments and wins, but also some bad moments and losses. It's to be expected, but she thinks that things will change.

To change, she needs to work hard, and that's the plan. Speaking to The National ahead of the 2024 Abu Dhabi Open, Raducanu revealed that she's going to work hard and hope for the best.

"I’m still finding my feet on the match court, I’m not fully there but that will come with time. I’m very patient and very grateful to enjoy what I’m doing. I’m just trying to improve my game because I’m not the finished product, far from it."

"I feel like now is the time to start because I’ve had some illness and injuries over the couple of years since [winning the US Open], so I’m looking forward to working on my game, improving my level and the results will take care of themselves."

We'll see how it all works out for her. She needs matches more than anything else, and she's going to get at least one in Abu Dhabi. Her performance will determine whether more will follow.
