Coco Gauff's 2023 US Open triumph was the biggest win of her career, but she doesn't want to remain stuck and keeps looking forward.

The American won the last Grand Slam tournament of the 2023 season as a teenager, and it's been a significant step in her career, as it opened many doors for her off the tennis court, but also made her even more recognized on the tennis court.

Despite winning the tournament and rising to the tennis stardom, in an interview with the US Open, Gauff admitted a few weeks later that she doesn't relive the victory anymore.

The American revealed that early after the win, she kept rewatching the match point, after which she fell to the ground and started celebrating, but she doesn't do that anymore.

"None of it, to be honest. I think for me, I just want to keep looking forward. I will say, like immediately right after, I was rewatching the match point over and over again like crazy, but that lasted like a week or so."

The reason for that is quite simple. Gauff doesn't want to get stuck in 2023. Instead, she focuses on progress and making sure she can relive that moment by quite literally living it again and winning another major.

"But now, I don't relive much of it. I'm just focused on trying to do it again."

The 20-year-old was also asked about the coolest people she got to meet thanks to her US Open triumph. While she named Barrack and Michelle Obama, Coco met them already during the US Open, so she added Canadian singer Justin Bieber, who she got to meet after her win.

"Probably the Obamas, I got to meet them during the tournament, not afterwards. So, also like Justin Bieber is a fan, which is really cool, because obviously, I'm a huge fan of him. So I think those two are probably the coolest I can think of."
