Anett Kontaveit will potentially play her final career match on a court that has no seating at Wimbledon leaving fans furious.

Anett Kontaveit is bidding farewell to tennis after a back injury forced her to abandon plans of playing tennis professionally on the WTA Tour. The retirement announcement came suddenly amid a comeback for the Estonian who missed a lot of time in the past year because of injuries.

Kontaveit explained in her announcement that she has degenerative disc disease that will only get worse if she continues playing leaving her potentially with life-long problems. The Estonian talked about the match ahead of it, admitting that she's come to terms with it although it will be hard to be composed.

Fans were shocked to learn that Kontaveit's match is going to be played on Court No. 6 where there is no seating. There are a few standing rows allowing to watch the match but most of the crowd is passing by. It's a very bad look for the event considering that Kontaveit is retiring from the sport and specifically chose Wimbledon to do so.

She is also a rather known player deserving of a proper send-off. She was the number two seed at the event only last year. To be fair, there were some things that made it a bit harder for the event to schedule the matches and it was a rain delay that stopped play for a while with the full day's programme not going ahead. Kontaveit was initially scheduled to play on Court No. 15 which isn't that much better.

It's very clear that Kontaveit won't be scheduled at one of the bigger courts which is a shame because it would have been a fitting send-off. Obviously, there are chances that she can still win her match and possibly get a bigger court next time but considering her struggles with injuries, that's hardly a guarantee. Terrible look for an event that prides itself on being classy.
