Jiri Lehecka used the Wimbledon grass to practice some golfing skills as he hit a pretty good hole-in-one during his match against Daniil Medvedev.
Grassper Ruud season is long gone at Wimbledon but his spirit lives on in the capital of the United Kingdom. It was a sunny day in London which is golf weather and Jiri Lehecka certainly brought some golf to the tennis courts.
He might need to hit up Casper Ruud to show him some of his tricks as he certainly demonstrated quite a bit of precision during his match against Medvedev, at least in this instance.
Now depending on how you look at it he might be a good or bad golfer. Putting a ball in such a tight space is impressive even though he probably didn't intend it. He wanted the ball to land in the court and if you look at it that way, then he's a rather poor golfer as he missed by a lot.
The match was an okay one though not one Lehecka will remember. He bowed out following a retirement due to an injury which prevented him from playing his best tennis. He was down 0-2 in sets when he made the call to retire from the match and it was an unfortunate ending to an intriguing matchup.
Lehecka has now put together solid runs both in Melbourne at the Australian Open and in London at Wimbledon. He seems to be one of the better young players and his turnaround on the grass was impressive to see. Just recently he was demolished by Carlos Alcaraz in Queen's and being able to produce some of these performances not long after that is rather impressive.
If you want to see his golfing skills, then check out the video below as he put the ball into the drink of a spectator who seemed quite amused by it. The crowd did too though Medvedev didn't seem that impressed.
