Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner were in the middle of a tight battle when the Italian slipped, grabbing his ankle with Djokovic quickly rushing over to check on the Italian.

It was a marvelous match between Djokovic and Sinner, who once again proved that he is one of the most talented players on the ATP Tour. While he’s not there yet, the Italian is slowly but surely making his way to the top.

Matches like this one, in which he led against Djokovic, show what he’s capable of, and while he didn’t win, he was not that far off. Sinner won the opening two sets against Djokovic but then lost the third and was on his way to lose the fourth as well.

Djokovic was up 5-2 with two breaks in hand; however, it was 30-40 on the Serbian's serve, so Sinner had a break chance. The point that followed was an amazing one, in which Sinner demonstrated all of his court coverage; however, towards the end, he slipped while trying to rush to the net.

He didn’t get up immediately but rather clutched his ankle while rolling around in pain and Djokovic quickly crossed over the net to check on his opponent. The umpire was there as well and while it looked terrible, the Italian was able to continue the match.

He didn’t win the match, though, as Djokovic ended up winning that game and then the final set 6-2, but it was a nice moment as Djokovic once again showcased his sportsmanship.

It’s something that he prides himself on, even though there would be many to call into question his sportsmanship. This time around, he handled it with grace.

The Serbian will look to continue his run at the Wimbledon Championships, hoping to go all the way once more. He’s by far the biggest favorite to do so.
