'Until Someone Exposes Them': Kyrgios Calms 'No Weakness' Talks About Alcaraz

Carlos Alcaraz is looking very unbeatable at the moment but Nick Kyrgios doesn't think that he has no weakness.

Alcaraz has proven himself to be one of the best players in the world. He's the number one player on the ATP Tour right now, after replacing Novak Djokovic following the Italian Open. He's also in the semi-final of the 2023 Roland Garros after crushing Stefanos Tsitsipas, a spectacle that Nick Kyrgios probably enjoyed.

Even so, the Australian doesn't really think that Alcaraz has no weakness in his game. It might appear that way and even the Spaniard hinted at thinking something similar earlier at the event. Alcaraz does consider himself a complete player but even so, Kyrgios basically explained that any player has no weaknesses until somebody exposes them.

We were saying similar things about Medvedev once upon a time. Not saying a see one, I’m just saying, until someone exposes them, they look unplayable.

His response came after tennis analyst Mark Petchey wondered out loud what possible weakness Alcaraz could have. He phrased the question in a way that made it seem like he himself doesn't believe that Alcaraz has any weakness.

Kyrgios used the example of Medvedev, another player that for a long time was considered a player that really doesn't have weaknesses. Several players struggled with him including Djokovic who couldn't beat him at the US Open a few years ago.

Nadal struggled with him as well at the Australian Open but he then proved the Russian very beatable in the very same match so there is a lot of sense in what Kyrgios is saying. Perhaps the Australian would like a crack at Alcaraz himself as they never played against each other. Perhaps we see it on the grass in the coming weeks as Kyrgios is getting ready to make a return to the Tour.
