The Tsitsibros are cruising at the 2023 European Open in Antwerp as Petros and Stefanos Tsitsipas took down another notable doubles pairing to book the semi-finals at the event.

Stefanos Tsitsipas has yet to play a singles match at the European Open in Antwerp, but he's been killing it in the doubles. His first singles match at the event will happen tomorrow as he's the first seed and had a first-round bye, but he's already played two matches at the event with his brother and won both matches.

The first one came against Miguel Ángel Reyes-Varela and David Vega Hernandez, a pretty solid doubles team that was actually favoured against the Tsitsipas brothers, but they proved resilient and won the match in two close tie-breaks.

The second match came against an even better doubles team in Matwe Middlekoop and Andreas Mies; however, it proved a lighter task for the Greek combination.

They won this match 7-5, 6-3 in about 70 minutes of play, which is a really solid effort from the brothers. They dominated on serve, losing only a handful of points behind their first serve and saving the only break point they faced.

Most of the damage on return came on the second serve of their opponents, as they won more than half of those points to advance to the semi-finals. It's been a really good week for the brothers, who don't play often together, but when they do, they're generally quite respectable as a pairing.

Tsitsipas often said playing with his brother is the best thing for him, and he's been really enjoying it this year. Perhaps we might also see them contest for the trophy, which isn't strange for Tsitsipas.

He has previously won doubles trophies, and winning one with his brother would be special, especially with his recent struggles. As for Petros, he's specilized for the doubles showing a really solid level so far in his career.
