Sensational Dimitrov Outlasts Tsitsipas To Reach Paris Masters Final

Grigor Dimitrov is not losing any step at the 2023 Paris Masters as the Bulgarian continues to play amazing tennis all the way to the final, beating Stefanos Tsitsipas along the way.

This has been a wonderful season for Dimitrov, the best in years, and it's finishing with a bang. The Bulgarian has been amazing ever since the indoor season started with a couple of notable performances, if not results.

This week, he has both, as he's in the final after beating Tsitsipas in three sets, as well as just playing amazing tennis. He started the match off with an early break, which is the perfect way to start the match.

He immediately put the momentum on his side, and from there, it was rather simple. Tsitsipas did find good form with his serve after that, but in the rallies, it was Dimitrov who looked more convincing.

Neither had too many chances after that, and the opening set finished 6-3 for Dimitrov behind ten winners. Outside of the first three games, it was pretty competitive as Tsitsipas didn't give him much but that early break proved so vital.

The second set continued in that close manner as neither had any chances to break. Both dominated on the serve as he cruised towards a potential tiebreak.

Dimitrov threatened with a break at 4-4, having two break points, but Tsitsipas found a way to wiggle out of it. The second set ultimately went to a tiebreak as predicted, and it was Tsitsipas who smashed Dimitrov in that one confidently.

A bit too erratic from the Bulgarian to finish the set where he didn't face a single break point. When it comes to the final set it was a close one. Tsitsipas had a golden chance earlier in the set but didn't convert the break points allowing Dimitrov to hang in there

He did until the tiebreak, where he outplayed the Greek with some amazing shot-making. The final score was 6-3 6-7(1) 7-6(2) for Dimitrov, who finished with 6 aces and 42 winners.
