New dad Rafael Nadal has won 92 ATP singles titles, 22 Grand Slams, two Olympic gold medals and is second on the all-time win percentage for men's tennis.

He has also just welcomed a new baby boy, also named Rafael. But amongst his professional and personal achievements, being crowned Spain's 'ideal boss' must rank up high amongst them all.

Nadal topped a poll that included people such as Spanish scientist, virologist and immunologist Margarita del Val, a prominent figure in Spain's fight against Covid-19.

Amazon founder and multi-billionaire Jeff Bezos was ranked third. And when the population of Spain were polled and asked who would make their ideal boss, the 36-year-old Mallorcan beat the lot, with 45% of people believing he would be the dream person to be giving out the orders in the office.

The current ATP World No.2 was described as "humble, honest and passionated," in a poll that included names such as Fernando Simon (Spanish epidemiologist) and Ibai Llanos, and internet celebrity.

Nadal's three most important traits were listed and received marks such as 58% approval of his humility, 50% for his honesty and 48% for his passion.

The survey was conducted on 4,917 and showed exactly what a star Nadal is in Spain.

He has previously shown his dedication for his country, donating a million euros to victims of flash-flooding in his home of Mallorca four years ago and also helping in the clean-up efforts.

And he was recently granted the ‘Camino Real’ award given to Spaniards who enhance the country’s image in the United States, for his 2019 US Open crown and four previous victories in Flushing Meadows.
