Jannik Sinner is becoming quite a tennis star at the moment and quite popular in his native Italy as well, so much so that he's getting regularly recognized.

When you are from a pretty big nation and from a nation that is quite fond of tennis, being good at tennis will get you publicity. It's simply the way it works, and it's well deserved in the case of Sinner, who is by far Italy's best tennis player.

He comes from the same region as Andreas Seppi, and he won Italian support over time, which is what is happening to Sinner right now, who is supported by his fans massively at the 2023 ATP Finals.

He's becoming a star in the country and in tennis, which gets him recognized quite often, especially because of his red hair, as he joked after his most recent win.

I guess it's part of that what I do, no? The only issue that I have red hair, so it's easy to recognize me. Things change when I have a cap on, so it's good. But still, I'm not looking for - how do you say - attention off the court, no? If people, they recognize me, it is a good feeling, nice feeling.

Sinner isn't particularly obsessed with fame but simply wants to focus on his tennis. The better he plays, the more famous he'll become, though. It's just how it is and he's okay with it, but tennis will always be his priority.

Honestly, I don't care so much how famous I am because I always have done normal things. I am a normal boy or man, getting a man now. There are some things what change, but in the other way it's all good.

A pretty big match is coming up later today- the ATP Finals final against Djokovic. He wants to do what Djokovic did last year - win the event undefeated.
