For the first time in the Laver Cup history, and quite possibly the last time, the Big Four will play for Team Europe together, as Novak Djokovic signed up for the event.

The Serbian has played at the Laver Cup in the past; however, this edition will be special. It's special for a number of reasons. First of all, it will mark the return of tennis to the legendary O2 Arena in London, which hosted the ATP Finals for over a decade.

It's been a favorite place to play tennis for many players who competed at the ATP Finals before. Second of all, it will mark the first time in history that the Big Four will play at the event together.

Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, and Andy Murray will all suit up for Team Europe later this year, and considering the circumstances, it might be the only time fans will get to see them play for the same side.

All of them, except Murray, have played at the event before, so this will mark his debut on native soil as well. It will be a festival of tennis that Federer envisioned when he thought about the event initially. Four legendary players playing for the same time in a legendary area in front of passionate fans.

With Djokovic now added to the team, the 21-time major winner spoke about his participation, admitting that he's looking forward to joining his rivals on the team.

"I’m really excited to be joining Team Europe again for the Laver Cup at London’s O2 arena in September. It’s the only competition where you can play in a team environment with guys that you’re normally competing against and to be joining Rafa, Roger and Andy – three of my biggest all-time rivals – it’s going to be a truly unique moment in the history of our sport."
