The 2024 Geneva Open will be an ATP 250 tournament that will run from May 19th to 25th.

Details of prize money for this tournament have been revealed. A total of 28 singles players will vie to become a tour-level champion and win a share of the total financial package of €579,320, which is nearly 3% more than last year's purse.

Some of the top-ranked ATP players have wasted no time in signing up for the Geneva Open, chief among them Casper Ruud. The two-time Roland Garros finalist has enjoyed a resurgent year and has made his case for being a favorite at this year's clay Slam.

Ruud has plenty of competition in his wake, with four players ranked in the world's Top 20 expected to challenge him for the title. These are the American trio of Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, Tommy Paul, and Argentina's clay-court specialist Sebastian Baez.

Nicolas Jarry is the sixth seed. The Chilean famously won the Geneva Open last year, beating Ruud along the way. So, as the defending champion, Jarry will look to replicate that feat in fast-playing conditions at altitude.

Jan Lennard Struff finally became an ATP champion at the Munich Open. He continues to impress at this year's clay swing, reaching the round of 16 in Madrid. Jiri Lehecka also impressed in the Spanish capital. Both of them will play in Geneva.

Prize money distribution begins in the first round, with a paycheck amounting to €6,215. But players who lose at this stage won't receive any ranking points.

Those who are fortunate enough to make it to the second round will earn €10,165 and receive 25 points. Since this is an ATP 250, players only need to win two matches to reach the quarterfinal stage. There, they are guaranteed to pocket €17,510 along with 50 points.

Those who make it to the semifinal will bank €30,220 and receive 100 points. The biggest earners during the week are the finalists. The champion earns €88,125 and receives 250 points, while the runner-up makes €51,400 and 165 points. The full breakdown can be seen below.
