'Zendaya Is Doing Tennis Movie And She Follows Me': Gauff Still Feeling Star-Struck

Despite being one of the biggest tennis names in the sport, Coco Gauff still feels rather ordinary getting star-struck all the time.

The American is in the United Kingdom for the Eastbourne International and Wimbledon with hopes of continuing some good showings she had at Roland Garros. She has largely struggled this year with some weaker showings but the hope is that things will turn on grass.

Wimbledon is where the world first saw Gauff as a tennis player so it will always be a special event for her. Since becoming known in the tennis world at age 15, Gauff grew to become one of the most prominent names in the tennis world generally.

There are very few fans who don't who she is and even celebrities now know who Gauff is. There have been more than a few that have been keeping up with her results and following her on social media and it's the one thing that still makes her feel her old self. The fact that she gets star-struck when she herself causes others to be star-struck.

I've been able to enjoy it a lot. It's still very surreal to me, certain aspects and certain people and our celebrities kind of know who I am.

Gauff on being known

It's something that won't change because she's still one of the youngest tennis players with a bright future ahead. But it's still surreal to her especially when it's somebody like Zendaya who is actually going to star in a tennis film. Perhaps Gauff can give her tips.

I mean, you know, Zendaya is doing a tennis movie and she follows me and I was like freaking out. And Samuel L Jackson obviously. It's just like, it never feels real. I think people always ask will it feel real? It doesn't. I'm just grateful that I'm able to be surrounded by such successful people and I hope that it continues to rub off on me.
