Paula Badosa is in Mallorca preparing for
Wimbledon, and she practised under the watchful eye of Apostolos Tsitsipas.
The Spanish No. 1 on the WTA Tour and Stefanos Tsitsipas have been dating for some time now. It was something that dominated tennis news for days, making it very hard to miss.
After sparking dating rumours, the
duo confirmed their relationship, becoming the new darling couple of tennis. Badosa was previously in a high-profile relationship with Cuban model Juan Betancourt, who was always present for her matches.
After announcing the new relationship, Badosa and Tsitsipas spent some time in her home base of Dubai. The Greek made his way to Europe for the tournament in Stuttgart and Halle, where he couldn't produce his best tennis.
Tsitsipas then made his way to Mallorca, where he won a trophy last year, and Badosa joined him there. The Spanish player hasn't played in a long time, with her last match coming on May 17th at the Italian Open.
Her Wimbledon participation is in question, but the hope is that she will recover in time, as she's been spending time on the courts lately. Cameras spotted the Spanish player in Mallorca on the courts with none other than Apostolos Tsitsipas, the father of Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Tsitsipas' long-time coach was seen watching Badosa practice and then actually hit with her until Stefanos came and took over. It was an interesting scene considering that Badosa has her own coach.
She seems to be very familiar with the family of Tsitsipas already, which, of course, makes sense, considering they all compete at very similar tournaments. The relationship seems to move quite fast, and it's interesting to see the two trying to improve each other's game along the way.
