Carlos Alcaraz didn't start his 2023 season on time as he was out due to injury early, missing the Australian Open, but he had plenty of time to rack up multiple highlights.
Yes, it was a bit of a late start for Alcaraz in 2023 as he started his season in the second half of February in Argentina. He missed the Australian Summer part of the calendar due to an abdominal injury he suffered at the Paris Masters the year before.
It was unfortunate timing for the Spaniard, but he returned with a bang, winning the trophy in Buenos Aires easily. He continued dominating in Rio de Janeiro not long after that but failed to win the trophy due to an injury. Highlights of his clay exploits can be seen in the video below.
Next up was the Indian Wells Masters, an event he won with some spectacular play. Miami wasn't as good but he still made it to the semi-final which was more than good. The clay season started well with another trophy in Barcelona.
Another one came in Madrid, which featured more spectacular play from Alcaraz; however, Rome wasn't as good as he had lost early. The French Open might have been the most painful experience with the cramps against Novak Djokovic, but he bounced back well on grass.
The Queen's Club trophy was only a tease for what was about to happen at Wimbledon, which was the highlight of the season. You can also see some great players from that event below. The last part of the season wasn't spectacular.
Toronto wasn't very good. Cincinnati was pretty good, but it was a loss in the final. The US Open was a solid outing, albeit a loss against Daniil Medvedev in the semi-final.
Not much happened after that, with a good showing at his maiden ATP Finals but a disappointing loss to Djokovic. There's plenty to see, so check out the highlights of his season below.
