Novak Djokovic might be cruising through the 2023 Australian Open draw, but he has to deal not only with his opponents but also with some people doubting the legitimacy of his injury.

Already during the Adelaide International, which was Djokovic's first tournament of the season, he struggled with an injury. He also hasn't been 100% fit during the Australian Open, and even though his struggles are apparent, some still question his injury.

One of the reasons for that might also be his dominance. In his fourth-round match, Djokovic beat Alex de Minaur 6-2, 6-1, 6-2, which might make it seem to some like he was not struggling.

However, Djokovic seemed to be quite fed up with all the questions about his injury, as he felt like only his injuries were being put into question.

"I leave the doubting to those people – let them doubt. Only my injuries are questioned. When some other players are injured, then they are the victims, but when it is me, I am faking it. It is very interesting… I don’t feel that I need to prove anything to anyone."

The Serbian player stated that he has all the data to prove that he played with an injury, but refused to confirm that he would make it public. He said it might appear in his documentary, but also not.

"I have got the MRI, ultrasound and everything else, both from two years ago and now. Whether I will publish that in my documentary or on the social media, depends on how I feel. Maybe I will do I it, maybe I won’t."
"I am not really interested at this point what people are thinking and saying. It is fun, it is interesting to see how the narrative surrounding me continues, narrative that is different compared to other players that have been going through similar situation. But I am used to it, and it just gives me extra strength and motivation. So I thank them for that."
