Novak Djokovic has had to deal with his fair share of doubters over the years and he experiences it again at the 2023 Australian Open.

Despite his incredible record of success on the court, some have questioned his injuries and suggested that he is faking them. His left hamstring is something that interests everyone in Melbourne and while some wonder how he can pull off some sensational wins with an injury, others doubt its credibility. But Djokovic is not one to let the doubters get to him.

“I leave the doubting to those people – let them doubt. Only my injuries are questioned. When some other players are injured, then they are the victims, but when it is me, I am faking it. It is very interesting… I don’t feel that I need to prove anything to anyone."

Djokovic has also been vocal about being transparent with his injuries. He has said that he will consider publishing his medical records in a documentary or on social media, depending on how he feels. He made it clear that, he wants to be open and honest with his fans and fellow players, and that he is proud of his record of success despite the injuries he has faced.

“I have got the MRI, ultrasound and everything else, both from two years ago and now. Whether I will publish that in my documentary or on the social media, depends on how I feel. Maybe I will do I it, maybe I won’t."

“I am not really interested at this point what people are thinking and saying. It is fun, it is interesting to see how the narrative surrounding me continues, narrative that is different compared to other players that have been going through similar situation. But I am used to it, and it just gives me extra strength and motivation. So I thank them for that.”
