Djokovic Opens Up About Being 'Inspired' By LeBron James & Tom Brady To 'Keep Going'

Novak Djokovic looks for inspiration anywhere he can, and fellow legendary athletes are certainly not a bad idea.

There is a great deal of respect between great athletes and as one Djokovic has the respect of many of his colleagues. He's widely respected by athletes outside of tennis as well as connecting with many of them and sharing experiences.

Kobe Bryant is one of those, and he paid tribute to him by winning his 24th Grand Slam as the late legendary player wore the number 24. He's also connected with Tom Brady, widely considered the best American Football player of all time.

All of that is with the goal of better understanding the minds of fellow champions and getting some tips to remain on top. It's been working really well as he's currently the number one player in the world, taking it away from Carlos Alcaraz.

You need to reinvent yourself, because everyone else does. As a 36-year-old competing with 20-year-olds I probably have to do it more than I have ever done it in order to keep my body in shape, in order to be able to recover so that I can perform on the highest level consistently.

He further mentioned some great champions he admires, paying tribute to them for keeping him inspired and hungry to achieve even more greatness. They're all driven by this maniacal competitiveness which pushes you to reach those heights.

I mean, I know I'm not the only one. I know there is a lot of great champions in different sports that thrive on this kind of approach to perfect themselves, their approach, their game, their performance, their recovery, every single day.

On and on. That's why LeBron James still keeps going at his age, or Tom Brady, you know, greats like that, that are inspiring.
