Alcaraz Extends Partnership With Racket Sponsor Babolat Up To 2030

Carlos Alcaraz penned a new seven-year contract extension with the world's oldest racket company, Babolat, ahead of the 2023 US Open.

Since he signed his first professional contract with the French company at the age of 10, Alcaraz has played with Babolat right from the first time he picked it up during his childhood days playing an international tournament in his native Spain.

He played with Pure Drive for almost a year before switching to the Pure Aero line at a younger age. Alcaraz then used a Pure Aero VS, which is a ''tuned up'' version of the former line that features an enhanced and tightened-up head size of 98 inches - which carried him to a maiden Grand Slam title at last year's US Open.

"The first memories I have were my first trip in Spain, an international tournament. I was playing with Babolat. It was amazing the first time I tried it and I never changed."

"When I was playing with the Pure Aero I was looking for one more string to have more control in my game. I found the 98 and fell in love with it since the first time I tried it."

Alcaraz told Forbes

Alcaraz is one of the company's prized assets and Eric Babolat, the CEO of the company, was extremely happy to retain him as an endorser, calling him a role model and inspiration for tennis fans all over the world.

And most importantly, Alcaraz shared the brand's values and outstanding sportsmanship. The Spaniard was equally ecstatic that talks and negotiations were done and dusted and he could channel his focus on the tennis court.

"I’ve been playing for 10 years with Babolat. I never think about changing. Knowing I am going to play for the next seven years is going to be really helpful for my mind and not to be worried about something else."
