The 2024 Delray Beach Open will be the 32nd edition of this ATP 250 tournament, which is being held in Palm Beach County, Florida, from February 12th to 18th.
The entry list for this year's tournament has already been released, which is very competitive for an event classified at this level. All the top eight seeds in Delray are ranked in the world's Top 50 and will be led by the USA's No. 1 male player, Taylor Fritz.
The 26-year-old Californian is the defending champion and will encounter quite a number of speedbumps if he is looking to retain his crown. Direct competition will most likely come from compatriot Tommy Paul and French late-bloomer Adrian Mannarino, who broke the Top 20 for the first time at 35.
There is a mix of rising stars and seasoned veterans looking to leave an imprint, one of whom is Italy's Matteo Arnaldi. On his last trip to the United States, Daniel Evans bagged the ATP 500 tournament in Washington. He'll be a threat in Delray.
Last year's finalist, Miomir Kecmanovic, will come back to have another try, while Chinese teenager Shang Juncheng is also among those players who will feature. The tournament has committed a prize money purse amounting to $661,585 for this 28-man field, which is a record for the event.
The breakdown will be as follows. The champion will make $100,640 along with 250 rankings points. The runner-up, meanwhile, will make $58,705, which will be bundled with 165 ranking points. The two semifinalists will pocket $34,510 and will receive 100 points.
The tournament will reward all players competing at the Delray Beach Open fairly, and that means even those who fail to win a single match in the main draw will be remunerated. Those will take home $7,095 but won't receive any ranking points.
Winning just one main draw match could make a significant difference for those who struggled to make ends meet. They'll earn $11,610 and 25 points. The complete prize money breakdown for the 2024 Delray Beach Open is indicated below.
