After an eight-year hiatus from the ATP Tour, the Bucharest Open is back and will be played from April 15th to 21st as part of this year's European clay-court swing.

The entry list and draw for this 2024 edition were released. The tournament has now followed suit by unveiling the prize money package, standing at €579,320 - a significant increment of roughly 25% from when the event was last held eight years ago.

All the top eight seeds who will vie to win the trophy are ranked in the world's Top 60, with three of them all ranked in the Top 30. The field is headed by current World No. 22, Argentina's Francisco Cerundolo. He'll get direct competition from Sebastian Korda, a man he could meet in the semifinal.

Auckland champion Alejandro Tabilo and Dutch No. 1 Tallon Griekspoor are among the top four seeds who have received a bye in the first round. The tournament organizers have given out wild cards to Richard Gasquet, Joao Fonseca, and Denis Shapovalov.

Some of the unseeded players to watch include three-time major winner Stan Wawrinka, Brazil's Thiago Seyboth Wild, and Italy's Luciano Darderi, who is already a 250 winner from Cordoba.

A huge portion of the prize money in Bucharest will be handed out to the champion, who will earn €88,125. Additionally, he will get 250 points. The losing finalist will take home €51,400 points and on top of 165 points.

The semifinalists will pocket €30,220 along with 100 points. Players who make it to the quarterfinal stage will be rewarded 50 points and €17,510 in monetary compensation.

Allocation starts in the first round. These players will get €6,215 but zero points. Reaching the second round will see players almost double that prize money. They will earn €10,165 and receive 25 points. For the complete prize money distribution for the 2024 Bucharest Open, be sure to check it below.
