The 2024 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix needs no introduction, as it is one of the biggest WTA 500 events on the calendar.

This tournament will run from April 15th to 21st and is usually held in Stuttgart, a vibrant German city known as the "cradle of the automobile." Consequently, the tournament sponsor, Porsche, awards a brand-new car to the champion every year.

But that's not the only incentive that brings nine of the world's Top 10 players to Stuttgart. A massive paycheck and a trophy will also be up for grabs, not to mention the enormous confidence the champion will build ahead of Roland Garros.

The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix is an indoor clay event that Iga Swiatek has won in each of the last two years. When she returns to Stuttgart, the Pole will look to complete a hat-trick and preserve her 100% winning record at the tournament.

Last year, arena Sabalenka lost her third successive final, tying Martina Navratilova for the most runner-up finishes in Stuttgart. Can she make it fourth time lucky? Well, the Belarusian is not giving in and will make the trip to Germany in mid-April to end her hoodoo.

The stacked field also includes top-10 players like Coco Gauff, Elena Rybakina, Jessica Pegula, Ons Jabeur, and 2017 French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko. Two of the four wild cards have gone to home crowd favorite Angelique Kerber and 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu.

This year, the prize money pool stands at $922,573, roughly an 18% increase from 2023. Therefore, the WTA stars competing in Stuttgart will be extra motivated to earn the highest share of the prize, which is the highest in the tournament's history.

The 2024 Stuttgart champion will earn $142,000, up nearly $20,000 from when Swiatek won the title 12 months ago. Additionally, the champion will receive the full 500 ranking points.

The beaten finalist will earn $87,655 and receive 325 points. The semifinalists will each pocket $51,205 and receive 195 ranking points, which could significantly elevate their ranking status.

Quarterfinalists will pick up 108 points and a generous paycheck amounting to $24,200. Players who lose in the second round will be rewarded 60 points and $13,170. The complete breakdown of prize money for the 2024 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart is indicated below.
