WATCH: Injury Concerns? Djokovic Sports Elbow Sleeve Ahead Of Davis Cup Finals
Novak Djokovic played a lot of tennis recently, and he might be a bit sore because he was seen sporting an elbow sleeve at his first 2023 Davis Cup Finals practice.
Many weeks ago, Djokovic helped Serbia secure a spot in the Davis Cup Finals Final Eight stage. It was a tricky group with Spain, but the Serbian did well to help his country secure a spot at the final showdown.
He confirmed earlier this year that he would be playing for Serbia at this year's Davis Cup, and he's following through with the promise.
Winning the competition for Serbia once more has been a longstanding goal of his, but things never quite lined up. The country has a pretty good squad this year, and with Djokovic, it might happen, especially with the way he's been playing recently.
He played a lot of tennis recently with winning runs at the Paris Masters and the ATP Finals recently, but he's ready for one final push. However, the amount of tennis played recently might have left some effects on his body.
Djokovic was seen sporting an elbow sleeve in his first practice session in Malaga. It's not the first time he was seen with something like that, as we saw it in the past, and it indicated elbow issues.
It was because he was bothered by it a little bit, so this likely indicated some minor discomfort. It won't seriously bother him because he played with it the last time it happened, and it didn't look too different.
It might also be just out of precaution. In any case, it's something worth noticing as he attempts to push his country to another Davis Cup victory.
He managed to do that a long time ago so this would be the second time he could help the country achieve a Davis Cup victory.
