2024 Strasbourg Open WTA Draw With Vondrousova, Collins, Svitolina & More

In its first edition as a WTA 500-level tournament, the 2024 Strasbourg Open promises plenty of entertainment and intrigue, and the draw for the event has been released.

This will be the last warm-up tournament on the European continent before Roland Garros, running from May 19th to 25th. It is a perfect opportunity for the WTA's top-ranked players to refine their game before going to Paris.

But accumulating minutes is not the only goal. There will be a title to be won and additional prize money from 12 months ago when Elina Svitolina won her first title as a mother.

The Ukrainian is back to defend her title and will be in action on opening weekend. The seventh seed will face French one-hander Diane Parry. If she navigates that test, she could play former No. 1 Karolina Pliskova, who has been offered a wild card into the main draw.

The top four seeds have a bye in the first round. Therefore, Marketa Vondrousova (top seed), Beatriz Haddad Maia (second seed), Danielle Collins (third seed), and Madison Keys (fourth seed) will begin their campaigns in the second round.

Czech lefty Vondrousova will await the winner of the match between Sloane Stephens and a qualifier. Collins, meanwhile, could face a qualifier or Katerina Siniakova.

Keys will play one of Anna Kalinskaya or Xinyu Wang. Sao Paulo native Haddad Maia awaits the winner of the match between Emma Navarro and Alize Cornet.

Other intriguing first-round matches will see former champion Barbora Krejcikova lock horns with Liudmila Samsonova, while Leylah Fernandez will take on Anastasia Potapova.

Romania's No. 1 player, Sorana Cirstea, was a runner-up in 2021 but has lost in the first round in her other three trips to Strasbourg. She will face Magda Linette in the 2024 edition. You can check the complete draw for this year's Strasbourg Open below.
