Novak Djokovic had no issues in his match against Holger Rune at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships; in fact, he even found time to mock the crowd during it.

The Serbian had some issues against the young Dane in the past and also showed himself to be quite vulnerable in previous matches at SW19 this year. Djokovic even admitted to having problems with his knee, as minor as they might be.

All of that pointed towards Rune possibly finding something to challenge the seven-time champion. However, he lost in three sets, which were quite simple sets for the World No. 2 player.

Djokovic wreaked havoc on Rune's second serve, attacking it relentlessly. The Danish player helped by giving him plenty of chances, which led to 14 break points, four of which the Serbian converted.

On his own serve, Djokovic faced only two break points, one of which came in the second set. However, when the Danish player was trying to stay in the second set, the crowd started chanting 'Rune' repeatedly.

The chants got even louder after Rune kept the show going, showing he could have fought for the second set. To Djokovic, it resembled booing, as he said after the match.

Still, at the end of the day, the crowd's involvement didn't matter because Djokovic won the second set 6-4. Immediately as he won the set, his memory reminded him of the chants, and he turned to the crowd, where some of the loudest chants came from, and mocked their chant.

Even that moment didn't let him lose his focus, as the Serbian swiftly closed out the match with a 6-2 win in the final set, securing the quarter-final. It was his best win so far at Wimbledon, and he's now only three matches away from winning his record-equalling eighth title at Wimbledon.
