'Let's Give Them A Show': Kyrgios & Sock Agree US Open Doubles Partnership

Nick Kyrgios and Jack Sock might be teaming up for the US Open and that would be quite an interesting pairing at the event.

Kyrgios has been out of the competition for much of this year and his return didn't really look all that great. Even so, many are excited about Kyrgios being back and his good mate Jack Sock is among them.

The American and Kyrgios go back a few years and the Australian has always openly spoken about the great friendship he has with the American. Besides Kokkinakis with whom he grew up, Sock is another tennis bestie for Kyrgios on the ATP Tour.

They played doubles occasionally together holding a combined 19-4 record through 7 years starting in 2015. The Australian has more recently played with Kokkinakis as they lifted the Australian Open trophy together and will attempt to go after Wimbledon this year.

The US Open could see him pair up with Sock who is famously known as one of the best doubles players when he really tries. The American has won grand slam trophies before including a US Open in 2018 with Mike Bryan.

He'd like to add another one and he might just do it with Nick Kyrgios. They have two trophies already winning in Lyon on clay a few years ago and in Washington last year. Sock proposed Kyrigios the idea quite publicly on Twitter asking him whether he would do some doubles with him at the US Open. Kyrgios was quick to respond saying that he's ready to give the fans a proper show so it seems like it's happening.

Jack Sock: @NickKyrgios wanna run some doubles at the us open?

Nick Kyrgios: Yeah……….. let’s give them a show.

Twitter deals

It would be good to see Kyrgios put on a show because his last sequence on the tennis courts didn't look very pretty. He asked fans for more patience as he continues to deal with knee issues.
