Garbine Muguruza has praised her compatriot Rafael Nadal for his ability to endure pain and still play well winning trophies.
Nadal has played with pain for a very long time but over time he has simply learned how to let it go and play through it. He played through pain a couple of years this year alone but opted against numbing his foot for Roland Garros because it was impossible to do so. Muguruza and many others have hailed Nadal for his dedication to tennis and willingness to play through a lot of pain.
It hurts because he was able to understand what he suffers. He is suffering; he has the ability to endure pain and takes it to the extreme and on top of that, he wins.
Unfortunately for Nadal, it was impossible to do so at Wimbledon with a pretty significant abdominal tear that he fought through against Fritz. He could not continue playing though so opted to withdraw ahead of the semifinal match against Kyrgios. Even with everything, Nadal is only human.
