Reports coming from respected newspaper L'Equiple are saying that Zverev is expected to miss about 6-8 weeks in the ankle injury sustained at Roland Garros.

Zvevev was playing a strong match against Rafael Nadal in the Roland Garros semifinal but a turn of the ankle cut everything short. The German indicated in an Instagram post that he likely tore a few ligaments inside the ankle with no confirmation yet. He travelled back home to Germany for further testing.

Reports coming from France (L'Equipe) are saying that he is expected to miss between 6 and 8 weeks of tennis action. It basically confirms what has been suspected for a while - he will miss Wimbledon. The hope is to be fully ready and in shape for the US Open with his scheduled return a bit prior to that. It will all depend on how the recovery goes but the prognosis is positive.

That's a good sign for Zverev considering how bad it looked for a moment. So far this season the 25-year-old has achieved a win-loss record of 19-10 but is yet to win a title. Besides reaching the semi-finals of the French Open, he was also runner-up at two Tour events in Montpellier and Madrid.
