Daniil Medvedev's participation at the 2022 Libema Open was eventful because the World No. 2 took part in the tournament's Kids Day.

The Liobema Open is a grass-court tournament that serves as a tuneup for Wimbledon and has started following the conclusion of the French Open. As part of its tradition, a special occasion called Kids Day is observed before the start of the event.

Medvedev traveled to the Netherlands, where he will play at the Libema Open in Den Bosch for the fourth time in his career. He is the top seed and has a bye in the first round. Therefore, he will begin his campaign in the second-round stage against either Gilles Simon or James Duckworth.

Before all of that, the Russian took time to spend a day with kids playing tennis and showing them some tips and tricks. The Russian has a unique style, so he certainly knows a thing or two about tricking your opponent.

The 2021 US Open champion also took pictures with the youngsters and signed some autographs. He certainly seemed quite popular with the younger kids despite the older generations being more inclined to boo him for his crowd teasing.

The aspiring tennis juniors who attend Kids Day keep lifetime memories of meeting one of their favorite players and top stars on the ATP Tour. The occasion is also important in promoting tennis to the newer generation of fans, as it has the potential to ignite interest in the sport.

Medvedev has only played in two tournaments while recovering from a hernia operation. He competed on the clay courts of Geneva and Roland Garros. He is already aware that he won't compete at Wimbledon later this month because of the ban instituted against Russian and Belarusian players.
