The 2024 Qatar Open will feature a world-class lineup, and the tournament has committed a prize money purse to match.

The entry list for this year's tournament, which will run from February 19th to 24th on the outdoor hard courts of the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha, has already been confirmed.

Four players included in the initial entry list have each lifted the Golden Falcon, the most stylish tennis trophy on the ATP Tour. Defending champion Daniil Medvedev is the man to beat, but the name that stands out from the 28-player field is that of the 2014 champion.

Rafael Nadal is making his comeback to tennis despite his initial return being scuppered by a fresh injury setback. Nadal was forced to miss the 2024 Australian Open due to a muscle injury to the hip, which is not connected to his previous injury.

But he appears increasingly confident of recovering within the next few weeks to fly to Doha for the first time since 2016. Andrey Rublev, Karen Khachanov, Ugo Humbert, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Alexander Bublik, and Lorenzo Musetti will play at this star-packed ATP 250 event.

In terms of prize money, the oil-rich Gulf country will provide a prize money amounting to $1,395,875, which is the highest of tournaments in the ATP 250 category. It is an increase of about 1.3% from last year's total.

All the 28 players featured in the main draw stand to profit from a huge payday. The champion stands to make the most of the greenback as he'll collect a paycheck worth $212,300, nearly $3,000 more than when Medvedev lifted the title in 2023.

The runner-up will also bank six figures to the tune of $123,840. The losing semifinalists will make $72,810, while those who lose at the quarterfinals stage will receive $42,190.

Winning at least one main draw match guarantees a paycheck of $24,500. Even those who stumble in the first round will still make enough to cater for their expenses and bank some disposable income. They will each receive $14,970.

In terms of points, the champion will rack up the full 250 ranking points. The runner-up, for his part, will receive 165. Semifinalists also receive three-digit ranking points of up to 100.

Only those that don't win a single main draw match won't benefit from points allocation. The 2024 Qatar Open prize money and points distribution breakdown is tabulated below.
