2024 Delray Beach Open ATP Draw With Fritz, Tiafoe, Paul & More

The spring hard court season in the USA continues, with the Delray Beach Open being the next stop.
The draw for this ATP 250 tournament was revealed, and there is a lot to be excited about for those living on Florida's southeast coast. A number of Americans feature in the field, and historically, home players have always fared well in the past.
If that trend continues, the top three seeds at the tournament could have a significant impact on the outcome. Taylor Frtiz is the kingpin and occupies the top half. He is the defending champion and gets a bye in the first round.
Fritz's campaign, however, could be very tricky to begin with. He will take on either Portugal's history-maker Nuno Borges, who reached the Australian Open second week, or Dominik Koepfer of Germany.
The 26-year-old Californian could meet sixth seed Matteo Arnaldi in the quarterfinal. But the Italian needs to beat an out-of-form Yoshihito Nishioka in his opening match and then one of Rinky Hijikata or Liam Broady.
Fourth seed Adrian Mannarino, who is slated to meet Fritz in the semifinal, awaits the winner of the all-American clash between Marcos Giron and Emilio Nava. Serbia's Miomir Kecmanovic plays home wild card Patrick Kypson, with the winner potentially facing the French veteran in the quarterfinal.
The bottom half of the draw is loaded with exciting first and second-round matches. One of those will see British one-hander Daniel Evans face Jordan Thompson.
Frances Tiafoe, the second seed, could open up against Chinese teenager Shang Juncheng, provided the 19-year-old is successful in his first bout against a qualifier. "Big Foe" will have revenge in his mind after losing to Shang in straight sets in Hong Kong last month.
Third seed Tommy Paul could face compatriot Alex Michelsen in his second-round match. Michelsen will need to take down a qualifier before he can contemplate that encounter. Be sure to check the full draw of the 2024 Delray Beach Open below.

- IDK, it looks like to me that Raducanu should praise herself and her team for 'gaming the system' as in playing the points and ranking game. When you look at her season of wild cards, skipping tournaments (including the Paris Olympics!), retiring from losing matches and avoiding qualifying rounds, it seems like there was some plan to move up the ranks without actually playing a lot of tennis.
