The
WTA 2025
Queen's Club Championships will be the maiden women's iteration of the tournament, and there is an outstanding
entry list for it.
ATP players have loved coming to the London event for years because of how well they are treated. For that reason, it has repeatedly been voted the men's favorite ATP 500 tournament at the end of each season.
The first WTA edition at the Queen's Club will be played from June 9th until the 15th. That is the week after the 2025 French Open concludes, and tournaments after the majors often contain weak entry lists.
Thankfully, several top players are on the entry list, including an incredible six Grand Slam champions. That gives the fans with tickets for the WTA 500 event much to be excited about.
2022 Wimbledon champion
Elena Rybakina is set to begin her grass-court season at the Queen's Club. She has been the most consistent player on the surface during the last three years, also reaching a semifinal and a quarterfinal at Wimbledon in that time.
Rybakina's results so far this year have been poor by her standards.
She has slipped outside the Top 10 and is seeking to find some rhythm and momentum after a challenging last few months.
Although Rybakina is an excellent player at her best on all surfaces and could still have a deep run at the French Open, she might be targeting the grass-court swing as an ideal opportunity to return to form.
If neither woman withdraws, the top two seeds at the WTA Queen's Club Championships will be American. World No. 3
Jessica Pegula has committed to competing at the event's maiden iteration.
Although Pegula lost in the second round of the 2024 Wimbledon Championships, she still had a memorable grass-court swing last year due to winning the Berlin Open after saving five championship points in the final against Anna Kalinskaya.
The other top American seed is 2025 Australian Open champion
Madison Keys. She is one of the most dangerous grass-court players in the world, winning three titles on the surface and 75% of her WTA matches on it.
Four-time Grand Slam champion
Naomi Osaka will be another significant draw at the Queen's Club. The Japanese star has thrived most on hard courts over the years, winning all her major titles outside of clay and grass.
However, the former WTA world No. 1 has shown a willingness and determination to improve on other surfaces. She recently won a WTA 125K tournament on clay in Saint-Malo, and planning to start the grass-court swing early in London shows her intent.
The British fans will undoubtedly give
Emma Raducanu great support at her home event. Like Osaka, she accepted a wild card for the Queen's Club Championships after not automatically making the entry list because of the number of great players on it.
Two-time Wimbledon winner
Petra Kvitova will continue her comeback to professional tennis at the event.
The Czech returned in February at the 2025 ATX Open in Texas after being on maternity leave for over a year.
Defending Wimbledon champion
Barbora Krejcikova,
Qinwen Zheng,
Emma Navarro,
Amanda Anisimova, and
Donna Vekic are some of the other players on the Queen's Club Championships entry list.
