The 2025 Marseille Open will be the 33rd edition of the ATP 250 tournament, and the entry list has been revealed.

The Marseille Open also called the Open 13 Provence for sponsorship reasons, was first held in 1993, and since then, it's been part of the calendar for over three decades.

In 2025, the tournament will be held again, running from February 10th to 16th, in the third week after the Australian Open. The tournament is played at the Palais des sports de Marseille.

This year, three former champions will compete at the event, and it's very likely that they will also be the top three seeds.

Hubert Hurkacz won the tournament in 2023 after beating Benjamin Bonzi, who will also play this year, in the final. Last year, home player Ugo Humbert delighted the French crowd as he became the first French champion since Jo-Wilfried Tsonga's triumph in 2017.

Humbert will also compete at the tournament in 2025 and defend his title. In 2024, he beat Grigor Dimitrov in the final, but the Bulgarian player won't compete this year.

On the other hand, last year's semi-finalist Karen Khachanov, who is also a former champion, having won the tournament in 2018, signed up to compete at the event again.

Surprisingly, only one of last year's quarter-finalists chose to play in Marseille also in 2025. Tomas Machac, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, and Arthur Rinderknech all chose to skip the tournament in Marseille, but Zhizhen Zhang should make an appearance.

20-year-old Arthur Fils is projected to be the fourth seed. Like Humbert, he can expect plenty of support from the home crowd, which helped him to reach the semi-finals in 2023. The young Frenchman didn't participate last year, but he will return in 2025.

Sebastian Korda also played at the tournament in the past. He competed in 2024 but lost already in the second round to Dimitrov. He will return in 2025.

The French fans will be happy to see many French players on the entry list. Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard will try to showcase his serving qualities, as he's currently probably the best server on the ATP Tour.

Gael Monfils never fails to entertain any crowd, and he will show his craft to the fans in Marseille as well this year. Benjamin Bonzi and Quentin Halys will compete at the 2025 Open 13 Provence as well.

The entry list also features names such as Jordan Thompson, Nuno Borges, and Alexander Bublik. All of them will be among the dark horses, as they have an experience of winning an ATP tournament.
