The 2025 Delray Beach Open will be the second tournament of the season held in the United States, and the entry list for the ATP 250 tournament has been revealed.

Initially held in Coral Springs, the Florida event moved to Delray Beach in 1999, where it has stayed since. A young Lleyton Hewitt won the tournament's first edition since it moved location, beating Xavier Malisse in the final.

There have been several high-profile winners of the tournament since, including Juan Martin Del Potro, Marin Cilic, Kei Nishikori, and Tommy Haas. The event's ATP 250 status has not stopped top players from signing up.

Taylor Fritz is the two-time defending champion. The world No. 4 defeated Miomir Kecmanovic in 2023 in a three-set final. His triumph against Tommy Paul in last year's final was much more comfortable.

Fritz has committed to competing at the tournament again. It has acted as the perfect preparation for him before March's Indian Wells Open and Miami Open in recent years, and he will hope that is the case again next month at the event that runs from February 10th to 16th.

Last year's US Open runner-up lost in the third round of the ongoing Australian Open to Gael Monfils. However, his mind may have been slightly distracted because of the wildfires that have devastated Los Angeles, where Fritz used to live.

The American announced he had donated his entire Australian Open first-round prize money to initiatives supporting those impacted by the wildfires. Fritz is no longer a Los Angeles resident but still lives in Southern California.

Hearing about the wildfires from a country on the other side of the world must have been tough for Fritz, and he might be relieved to have a tournament in America that his girlfriend, family, and close friends can attend in a few weeks.

Last year's runner-up, Paul, is another man on the entry list for the tournament. He has enjoyed a successful Australian Open, reaching the quarterfinal despite almost being eliminated by Christopher O'Connell in the opening round.

Paul thrived in his home country during February last year. The Wimbledon quarterfinalist won an outstanding final against Marcos Giron to win the Dallas Open before finishing as the runner-up to Fritz in Delray Beach the following week.

Kei Nishikori is set to continue his comeback to tennis at the 2025 Delray Beach Open. It seemed like the 2014 US Open finalist might never return to the ATP Tour, but he has enjoyed an excellent start to the new season.

The Japanese star reached the final of the Hong Kong Open before improving his astonishing record in deciding fifth sets to 29-8 in the first round of the Australian Open. Paul then proved too strong in the next round.

Young American star Alex Michelsen has also signed up for the Delray Beach Open. His impressive run to the fourth round of the Australian Open included a triumph against the 2023 runner-up in Melbourne, Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Reilly Opelka, Borna Coric, Cameron Norrie, and Brandon Nakashima are among the other players on the 2025 Delray Beach Open entry list.
