Stefanos Tsitsipas challenged Nick Kyrgios to a "revenge match," but he has some special conditions.
Kyrgios and Tsitsipas met in the fourth round of the 2022 Wimbledon Championships in a match that probably every tennis fan remembers. During the match, the Greek player hit a ball out of the court and hit one of the fans. Kyrgios requested a disqualification for his opponent after that.
However, that didn't happen, and Tsitsipas attempted to hit the Australian numerous times during the match, which he also admitted after the match. On the other hand, Kyrgios seemed to be taking the match calmly and eventually won.
After the match, the Australian even said that he was close to his brothers and was willing to let what happened on the court there. But after Tsitsipas called him "a bully" there wasn't much love between the two of them.
First, the Greek posted a picture on his Instagram profile in which he sarcastically used the newest tattoo quote of his opponent as a caption.
Then, Kyrgios took aim at Tsitsipas when he joked about playing doubles with him during one of the interviews. So, it's obvious that Kyrgios and Tsitsipas are not the best friends at the moment.
In a trailer for Tennis Channel's Dear Friend, the ATP World No. 6 player was sitting on a grass court and sent a message to the Australian, challenging him to a match.
"Nick Kyrgios, I challenge you to come here. We play a rematch. Mr. Kyrgios, please come to Costa Navarino. I'd like a revenge match and no talking this time."
If Kyrgios continues to play the way he did in 2022 so far, it's almost certain that he will meet Tsitsipas at least once more. Therefore, even if he doesn't accept the Greek's offer, the two might meet on the ATP Tour.
