Without a doubt, Nick Kyrgios is having the best season of his career and it was also recognized at the 2022 Tennis ACT Awards.

After three years, the 27-years-old Australian lifted another ATP title and he added two Grand Slam finals. One successful in doubles and one unsuccessful in singles against Novak Djokovic at the 2022 Wimbledon. Moreover, this year, Nick Kyrgios won already 35 matches and is only one match away from equalling the number of matches one throughout the last three seasons combined.

2022 Tennis ACT Awards recognized many players such as the best junior male athlete - Charlie Camus, and the best junior female athlete - Wambui Taylor. The main award for the 2022 ACT Athlete of the Year was awarded to Australian no. 1 in singles and doubles, Nick Kyrgios.

After winning his maiden Grand Slam title in doubles and reaching also the first Grand Slam final and another quarterfinal, Kyrgios' rankings skyrocketed and that's why he's a clear Australian no. 1. Fact that was recognized also at the 2022 Tennis ACT Awards.
