The 2023 Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS) in Los Angeles is set to run from July 21st to 23rd, and it should offer a lot of excitement.
Once the best players on the ATP Tour join an exhibition event, it's certainly set to be a great spectacle, especially, when it's organized by the renowned coach Patrick Mouratoglou. The French coach managed to attract a great field of players, and they will be all competing for the champion's trophy at 2023 Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS) in Los Angeles.
Players are split into two groups of four, with each player playing against everyone in their group, three matches in total. The action will start with a match between Benoit Paire, who replaced injured Nick Kyrgios, and Diego Schwartzman.
Each of the first two days, there will be six matches played, and so the opening match on Friday, July 21st, will be immediately followed by an all-American meeting between Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe, who will be coached by Nick Kyrgios.
After that, Taylor Fritz will take on Yibing Wu, and Tiafoe will return to the court against Gael Monfils. Ben Shelton will also play two matches on Day 1, taking on Alexander Bublik, and Benoit Paire will finish off the day against Yibing Wu.
Returning to the courts on Saturday, July 22nd, all players that played one match on Friday will play two matches, and everyone with two matches already behind their belt, will have to play only one more match.
The opening match will see Benoit Paire taking on Taylor Fritz, and after that Ben Shelton will play against Gael Monfils. The third match of the day will see two showmen clash in Frances Tiafoe and Alexander Bublik.
After that, Taylor Fritz will play against Diego Schwartzman, followed by a match between Alexander Bublik and Gael Monfils, and finally, Yibing Wu and Diego Schwartzman will play the last match of the group stages.
