2023 Canadian Open Montreal & Toronto ATP & WTA Prize Money & Points Overview

The 2023 Canadian Open, played in Montreal and Toronto, promises to distribute almost $10 million in prize money to players competing.

Running from August 7th to 13th, the 2023 Canadian Open, also called the National Bank Open, promises to be one of the most interesting ATP & WTA 1000 tournament during the US hard-court swing.

In prize money, $6,600,000 will be distributed in the men's competition, while women will fight for $2,788,468. The ATP entry list is packed with names such as Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, and Daniil Medvedev all set to compete, while the WTA entry list also includes the best players such as Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, and Elena Rybakina.

In both tournaments, the list of title contenders will be very long. While among men, the likes of Holger Rune, Jannik Sinner, Casper Ruud, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Alexander Zverev will want to fight for the title, among women, Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, Ons Jabeur, but also Marketa Vondrousova will all want to prove their qualities.

Due to the difference in prize money and points distribution between the ATP and the WTA event, the distribution is quite complex. The men's champion will get 1000 ATP points and $1,019,335 in prize money, while the winner in the women's competition will be awarded 900 WTA points and $454,500.

The difference in prize money and points distribution can be seen among every round, as for the first-round exit, men will get 10 ranking points and $26,380, while women will only get 1 point and $12,848 in prize money.

For making the second round, players competing in the ATP competition will all get 45 points and $47,260, and the WTA competitors will be awarded 60 points and $17,930.
