The 2023 Newport Open offers a chance to players on the ATP Tour to extend their grass swing from July 17th to 23rd.
While majority of the players elects to focus on their preferred hard or clay surface after the third Grand Slam of the season is played, some prefer to stay for one more week on the grass courts and that's why the Newport Open, also called the Hall of Fame Open, always sees a lot of specialists on the entry list.
Usually, those are players with good serves and solid serve and volley game. In 2022, the tournament was won by Maxime Cressy, and almost every player with a big serve won it in the past, including the likes of John Isner, Kevin Anderson, and Ivo Karlovic.
In 2023, fans at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island in the United States are hoping to see another great tournament, and the organizers tried to make sure it will happen by securing a solid line-up.
The last year's champion Maxime Cressy as well as the four-time champion John Isner are both coming to Newport along with many other great Americans. Tommy Paul is one of them, and should be also the top seed at the tournament.
Also, the likes of Christopher Eubanks, Mackenzie McDonald, and Michael Mmoh will play in Newport, but there will be many good non-American players too. Ugo Humbert, Adrian Mannarino, and Max Purcell are just some of them.
