The 2022 Halle Open will run from June 13th to 19th at the multipurpose OWL Arena, and details of prize money have been revealed.

This tournament will take place concurrently with another ATP 500 event at Queen's Club in the United Kingdom. It is one of the most important stops on the ATP calendar for players looking to fine-tune their grass-court skills before Wimbledon.

Roger Federer has won the Halle Open a record ten times. However, he is unlikely to compete in 2022. The Swiss maestro competed in Halle last year but fell to Felix Auger-Aliassime. The Canadian will be back in Germany and will be seeking a maiden career title on grass.

The most recent champion, Ugo Humbert, will defend his title as he is also on the entry list. Daniil Medvedev, who made his long-awaited return from hernia surgery during the clay-court season in Geneva, will be the tournament's top seed.

The Russian will face stiff competition from Alexander Zverev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, countryman Andrey Rublev, Felix Auger-Aliassime, and Jannik Sinner. Nick Kyrgios, who recently claimed to be the best grass-court player in the world, will have the opportunity to prove it in Halle.

The tournament will pay 16,650€ for a first-round loss, but rankings points will not be awarded at this stage. Those who make it to the second round are guaranteed to earn 31,215€ and will receive 45 points.

Reaching the quarterfinal in Halle will offer a sizable reward of 58,485€ and 90 points. Semifinalists will make six figures amounting to 114,465€ and will receive 180 points.

The champion will receive the largest paycheck during the week, worth 399,170€, in addition to 500 points. The runner-up will receive a little over half of the winner's prize money, 214,775€, and 300 points. Be sure to check the full overview below.
