The ATP edition of the 2025 Queen's Club Championships will be played from June 16th to June 22nd, and the prize money and ranking points have been released.
For the previous 50 years, there had only been a men's tournament at the Queen's Club on the tennis calendar. That changed with a WTA version of the iconic event in London, with Amanda Anisimova and Tatjana Maria making the final.
Many outstanding matches were played in the women's singles at the Queen's Club. The superb men's entry list means the ATP stars should be able to match or surpass the quality of their female counterparts.
Carlos Alcaraz's participation was in doubt since the tournament begins eight days after his remarkable victory in the 2025 Roland Garros final against Jannik Sinner, but the Spaniard seems set on competing at the ATP 500 tournament.
British fans will be able to cheer on their home hero Jack Draper, who overcame Alcaraz at last year's Queen's Club Championships. Ben Shelton, Frances Tiafoe, and Holger Rune are among the other names in the 2025 draw.
The 2025 Queen's Club Championships ATP champion will receive €471,755 and 500 ranking points for being the best player of the week. Tommy Paul was last year's champion, but will not defend his title after withdrawing.
Lorenzo Musetti finished as the runner-up to Paul in the British capital. The Italian, who retired from his Roland Garros semifinal against Carlos Alcaraz with an injury, also pulled out of the Queen's Club Championships.
Whichever man replicates that achievement this year will earn €253,790 and 330 ranking points. Novak Djokovic, Pete Sampras, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, and Marin Cilic have all finished as the runner-up at the event.
Sebastian Korda and Jordan Thompson were the defeated 2024 semifinalists. €135,255 and 200 ranking points are guaranteed for the men who get at least that far this year, which is a more than decent reward.
From the quarterfinal onwards, the prize money drops to well below five figures. Four men will lose at that stage of the prestigious tournament, and they are set to receive €69,100 and 100 points.
No byes are awarded to players at ATP 500 tournaments, meaning everyone in the main draw needs to win one match to reach the round of 16. The men who achieve that will be rewarded with €36,885 and 50 points.
No ranking points are given for losing in the opening round of ATP 500 events. However, those 16 beaten players will still make €19,670 just for being in the main draw of the Queen's Club Championships.
Although the prize money on offer is important, how tournaments treat players also means a lot to them. Players have consistently ranked the Queen's Club Championships as the best ATP 500 tournament.
Making the players feel comfortable helps to bring out their best. That partially explains why so much outstanding tennis is played every year at the Queen's Club in front of packed crowds.
